Who are you and how dare you steal my name and dream? Just kidding.

Seriously, you and I have a great deal in common; Texas roots, working for Dell, a love for sci-fi writing. I have a lot of screenplays that I have written, but none have yet been published.

Well, good job on all your accomplishments! Maybe we’ll bump into each other some time.

I am the grandson of Benjamin Franklin Davidson and Cecil Rosetta Bellamy Davidson, son of Eugene Davidson (just in case we’re related).

I live out in Clear Lake with my girlfriend and our 16-month-old daughter. I’m still writing, and presumably getting better. I haven’t had a whole lot of “success” with any of my original stuff, but I’ve made a few dollars doing (uncredited) rewrites on local things and contributing an episode to a web series that never got off the ground.

It’s still very much a learn-as-I-go experience. All the time I’m discovering for myself the lessons you illustrate so well on here. It’s still more for fun than anything, but I can feel myself inching to that point where someone might actually value what I do.

I find this sad – the idea that we are at the mercy of big studios that have no care for ‘new’ or ‘interesting’, only for sure-bets.

Mr. Miyagi’s wife and unborn child die in a car crash. You see it (he looks at a newspaper article with a headline (something like…) “Pregnant Woman dies in Car Crash”) when Mr. Miyagi gets drunk and reminisces.
